About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
Within the Fresh DC will be our Packhouse - a produce pre-pack facility where we will sort, assemble, cut and pack fresh produce for supply into our stores.
Joining our Fresh team as a Packhouse Operator, things will look and feel a little different than our ambient counterparts!
As a fresh site, the temperature inside the DC will vary between 2 and 13 degrees to ensure our produce is in tip top shape before it hits the shelves. This means you’ll need to be comfortable working in slightly cooler temps than our other DCs.
With responsibility for the guidance of the produce packhouse team, you’ll lead and work alongside the team to sort, assemble and package produce in the Packhouse.
About You | Mōu
To succeed in this role you will need to be safety conscious, reliable, physically fit to lift up to 16kgs and the ability to work well in a team environment and communicate clearly with others. You’ll have excellent attention to detail when it comes to order accuracy, good time management skills and a good level of fitness. In the absence of the Managers you will be assigned to run the Packhouse shift therefore we require team who are computer literate, who know their way around a computer and experience as a leader is desirable.
This is hands on role and you will be fully trained and also licenced on forklifts, Counter balances, Putaway Reaches and electric Pallet Trucks! A fantastic opportunity to get these under your belt and continue to build your supply chain career!
